Abstract

This paper tackles two short fictional works of two contemporary novelists both of which categorized as best sellers, and award winners, the two belong to separate schools of writing. Lauren Groff is a realistic, sophisticated, accomplished writer, with a poetic, polished, elegant style. Lee Childs on the other hand is thriller crime fiction writer. His aim is to draw the suspense of the readers. The study deals in depth with the two fictional works and concludes by a comparison between the two styles of fiction which proved to be successful at the present time.
